My First Pie
I have helped my mom make pies for Thanksgiving for years, but had never made one all by myself. (Actually, Greg helped.) It was an apple pecan turnover pie recipe that I got from a friend that demonstrated at a church cooking class. It stressed me out more than I wanted, but it was worth it.

Way to go Heather. That looks so yummy! I made my first pie this Thanksgiving too. No one got sick so I consider that a success. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

So SO SO sorry my appointment took so long today. I feel bad you missed you VT appointment...
Your pie looks great! I wanted to try making the same pie, but we weren't here for Thanksgiving! :(
Maybe next year!...or next week. You can make pies for no reason...right?!
