Beautiful Miami

We were able to spend four days in Miami this past weekend, without our boys, and loved every minute of it. It has become tradition with Greg and his high school buddies (my high school friends too) to go to an NFL game each year together. And they are so nice to let their wives tag along. I was so grateful that they chose Miami, because I was longing for the beach. Beware, there are a lot of pics ahead...

See how beautiful! And the water was so warm.

This is a pic of all of the girls. I'm not sure if they want to be named, so I won't. :)

The boys watching the BYU/Florida State game. We had to search forever to find a place that carried the channel that the game was on. And then they lost...BAD!

The next day we spent at south beach. At least until the rain came pouring down without warning. We didn't take many pics at the beach. Which is probably good since there were several topless women around us. Who knew that would happen at a public beach? I didn't.
This is a pic of all of us together at a VERY overpriced restaurant. As you can tell, we had already been to the beach, and because of the rain and humidity, we were still wet after an hour.

Greg and I getting ready for the Cheesecake Factory...YUMMY!

I was able to see my good friend Jamie that I hadn't seen in years! She lives in Ft Lauderdale with her husband and daughter. She helped us out a lot with where to go and what to do while we were there.

We were able to drive out to the Everglades the next day. We wanted to see turtles, alligators, and salt water crocodiles. We ended up only seeing two alligators and some baby alligators. It was still fun, but that humidity is a killer!!!

Greg and I on the boardwalk. There was probably an alligator lurking below us...

The next day we went Haulover beach to do some snorkeling.

My friend had suggested that we go here instead of Key Largo to snorkel. When we looked at it, we didn't think that it looked that exciting. But as soon as we got under the water, there were fish and sea shells everywhere! It made me nervous because there were these 1 1/2 ft long fish (at least that's what I thought) with big snouts and teeth, crabs, puffer fish and who knows what else under there. I watched one of those long fish eat a little fish right in front of me. It was like I was watching the discovery channel.

I wish we were still there...
