Nate's 6th Birthday!

I cannot believe that he is six already. Time has flown by since he was born. Maybe it's such a blur because I had three boys ages 3 and under and it nearly did me in.

He couldn't go to sleep the night before. He was so excited. He had already picked out his own presents and couldn't stand not being able to play with them. His birthday was on a school day and I happened to be going to volunteer in his class that day and was bringing a treat to share. He was having his first friend birthday party and he couldn't wait for it. He was overly excited!!!

As soon as he got up in the morning, he wanted his presents. This awesome skateboard was the highlight!

Here is part of his class (With Nate right in the middle.) getting ready to go home for the day. His class is mostly girls.

For his birthday party we ended up taking the kids to a local place with bounce houses, laser tag and this pictured laser maze. They all loved this! It was just like the spy movies. They had to go from one end of the room to the other...while going under, over and in between lasers...switch the diamond and then make it back to where they started. It was so fun to watch. They all were really good at it.

007 style...

You have to have birthday cake! Ummm...so, my oven is not balanced well because of a very frustrating and horrendous mess that I had to clean up. That's another story. Anyway, I made the most of it and it was an awesome dirt bike hill. Too bad we didn't have a small dirt bike to go on it. He was happy with the car. The only thing that matters is that he was completely happy with it. :)

This boy is so awesome! We are so proud of him. He is a smarty pants and is always putting us in our place when we're not on top of things. He is SO anti-girl, but since starting kindergarten he has several "girls-that-are-friends"...I have to be specific or else he will get really offended. He loves his brothers, but has a funny way of showing it. He rarely gives me hugs or holds my hand. Never kisses. He loves to play the guessing game about anything and everything. We just had parent teacher conferences and his teacher said that he's a star student, and get this: he is the only boy at a table full of girls. She said that he handles it beautifully and that he's going to be a ladies man. Yet, I can't even say the word "girlfriend" without him wanting to hit something.

Happy Birthday Nate! What a great party. Was this the new place on 90th? Glad he had fun. Olivia is the same way about boys, which I think is a good thing =)
