Evan had been extremely excited for his first birthday party for at least 6 months before it happened. He talked and asked about it regularly during that LONG 6 months. With the cold weather and Christmas decorations out in the house, I decided that it would be best to have his party at Jumping Jacks. All of the kids had a blast and didn't stop jumping the whole time we were there. By the time we were ready to leave, they had been jumping for two hours and all looked exhausted. But that's the whole point right?
Evan never stopped smiling...
Evan invited three of his closest friends. One friend couldn't make it. So here we have (left to right) Hayden, Nate, Caleb and Kaden. Evan was off exploring and couldn't stop to get his pic taken.
Kaden, Hayden (hidden), not sure who the next kid is peeking through, Evan, Caleb and Nate.
Evan also invited his cousins! It's so much fun for them to have cousins that they see often and get along with so well. Nate, Caleb, Sofia, Evan (hidden) and Tyler.
Evan and Sofia are very close. They always have a great time together. A while ago, I caught them kissing under Grandma Kitchen's stairs and we had to have a little talk about kissing cousins. Too funny! I hope that they stay good friends throughout their lives.
After all of the jumping, we headed home for presents and cake and ice cream.
Evan wanted a dinosaur cake and told me exactly what he wanted. He wanted sky on the top, dirt on the bottom, and toy dinosaurs all over. Each of the kids got to pick out and take home one of the dinosaurs. I'm not good at cake decorating, so I didn't get a close-up pic of it. :)
That night Sofia and Tyler got to stay for a sleepover. Pizza, a movie and popcorn...they were all happy campers!
